Mission
movePT is committed to providing high quality, affordable, Mechanical training for therapists who desire the very
best outcomes for their patients.
There is mounting evidence that a mechanical, movement based, evaluation using a diagnostic classification system
results in superior patient outcomes, fewer visits, shorter recovery times, increased patient independence, decreased
recurrence, and best of all excellent patient satisfaction. movePT will teach you the basic skills and knowledge
necessary to apply mechanical therapy concepts and immediately enhance your effectiveness in treating patients.

Shawn has over 11 years of experience treating Orthopedic and Neurological patients, and is credentialed as one of
only 125 McKenzie Diplomat Therapists in the United States. After graduating from UTMB, Galveston with a Master of
Physical Therapy Shawn worked in a variety of settings. He completed level II training with the North American
Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, obtained credentials as a Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist, and
for the past 5 years has focused on mechanical (movement based) assessment and treatment of patients. Shawn is
convinced, based on literary evidence and clinical experience, that mechanical therapy is the most effective therapeutic
approach available, resulting in optimal patient outcomes.
A note from Shawn:
"After years of dreaming and planning, these courses are a reality. I am so excited to have the opportunity to share with my peers the information and skills that have so dramatically changed the way I practice Physical Therapy. If you have the opportunity to come to a movePT course be prepared to have fun, challenge your current thinking, and grow as a Therapist."
Shawn's Verse of the Day:
"7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. 8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones." --Proverbs 3:7-8
